A human skull was found Saturday afternoon by workers trimming trees in City Creek Canyon, police said.
The skull, which could have been there for as long as two years, was found about 1 p.m., but no additional remains, clothing or other items were located, said Salt Lake City Police Lt. J.R. Nelson.
A search of the area using cadaver dogs is planned for today, Nelson said.
