A man accused of attacking a woman, her son and their dog was charged in 3rd District Court Thursday.
Prosecutors charged Henry L. Jackson, 52, with two first-degree felony counts of attempted criminal homicide, and with cruelty to animals and assault, both class B misdemeanors.
According to court documents, Jackson had been stalking the woman, his ex-girlfriend, for some time and appeared at her home on Nov. 9, when he attacked her. Her son intervened and was stabbed several times, as well as was the family dog, court documents state.
Jackson remains in the Salt Lake County Jail on a cash-only $200,000 bail. He was convicted of second-degree felony manslaughter in 1983, after killing his then-wife.
