Intermountain Ballet Theatre, official ballet company of Midvale, presents its annual full-length classical ballet, "The Nutcracker" on Nov. 24, 25, 30, Dec. 1 and 2 at Butler Middle School, 7530 S. 2700 East, Sandy.
Guest artist Jaymz Tuaileva from Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance?" will dance the role of Nutcracker Cavalier, as well as partnering Kristen Burgon and Jessica Liu in the role of Sugar Plum Fairy. The role of Clara will be danced by Kylee Arnold and Lauren Rock. There will be a silent auction before each of the performances. Some of the auction items include airline tickets from Jet Blue, items from LoveSac, local venue tickets for upcoming performances, restaurant gift certificates, hotel stays, ski passes from Deer Valley and other items.
This performance is made possible by grants from Wal-Mart and Target. Performance times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Fridays, with matinee performances on Saturdays at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at Academy of Ballet Arts, 9419 S.
