The Gallivan Center's ice-skating season is set to start today, and it will kick off with an evening of free skating.
Today's Customer Appreciation Night, from 6-11 p.m., offers free skating admission and skate rentals.
The rink's regular hours are noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sundays.
Ice-skating lessons are also available beginning Dec. 16. More information is available at www.slcgov.com/publicservices/gallivan/rink.htm.
The Gallivan Center is located at 239 S. Main in Salt Lake City.
