Class 5A Championship

Alta Hawks (11-2) vs. Bingham Miners (13-0)

About the Hawks: Beat Fremont 28-0 in semifinals. Sausan Shakerin is one of the most explosive backs in the state with 1,991 yards and 22 TDs. QB Dallin Cutler has added 1,378 rushing yards and 15 TDs. He's also passed for nine TDs. Alta has won 11 straight since starting the year 0-2. Offensively, the Hawks average 30.9 ppg, and defensively they only allow 13.5 ppg. Alta lost to Bingham 28-12 in Week 1.


About the Miners: Beat Pleasant Grove 35-0 in semifinals. QB Dusty Heap averages 150 passing yards per game and has thrown for 21 total TDs. RBs Doug Fiefia and Sam Langi have combined for 31 TDs and 2,055 rushing yards. Bingham is the highest scoring team in the state at 39.3 ppg. Defensively, the Miners only allow 13.9 ppg. Defensively, Quenton Petersen leads the team with 112 tackles, followed by Brock Ward with 103.


Class 4A Championship

Highland Rams (11-2) vs. Timpview T-Birds (11-1)

Today at Rice-Eccles Stadium, 1:30 p.m.

About the Rams: Overcame a 14-point deficit to rally past Box Elder 24-21 in the semifinals. Liam McNally leads the team in rushing with 1,224 yards and 16 TDs. QB Sean Swenson has added 987 yards and 24 total TDs. Jake Webber and Braden Brown have combined for 13 TD receptions, while Brown leads the team in tackles.


Highland's defense, however, struggles at times as evidenced by its 19.0 ppg.

About the T-Birds: Beat East 7-3 in semifinals. Timpview is where its at today because of defense. The T-Birds only allow 5.4 ppg, by far the top defense in 4A. Offensively, Jackson Owen is the second-leading rusher in 4A with 1,552 yards, in addition to his 15 TDs. Junior QB Quinn Mecham has had an efficient season with 1,327 yards and 15 TDs. One of his favorite targets is fellow junior Mark Ercanbrack, who has seven TDs.


Class 3A Championship

Bear River Bears (9-4) vs. Snow Canyon Warriors (10-2)
