Ronald A. Burchett has joined the law firm of Thorpe North & Western. A graduate of the University of Nevada and the J. Reuben Clark School of Law at Brigham Young University, Burchett's legal practice encompasses all areas of intellectual property.
WiLife, a Draper-based security systems maker, has hired Kerry Brock as vice president of sales and channels. Brock comes to WiLife from another company, where he served as vice president of worldwide marketing and European sales. He has 15 years of experience in network security.
VitalSmarts announced several changes to its management team. Company co-founders Al Switzler, Joseph Grenny, Kerry Patterson and Ron McMillan stepped down from their leadership positions to form a new board of directors. Brett Walker adds the title of managing director to his current position as chief marketing officer. Mike Carter adds the title of managing director to his current position as executive vice president. Jeff Gibbs joins VitalSmarts with more than 18 years of business management, engineering and product development experience. He will oversee all operations and development.
Erni Armstrong, founder of Freestyle Marketing Group, has been elected to the board of trustees of the Economic Development Corp. of Utah. A Utah State University graduate, she has nearly 20 years of experience in the marketing industry.
