Ushering out the Shabbat

The Havdallah ceremony is performed to usher out the Shabbat, the Jewish Sabbath, a day of rest. The ceremony helped launch the Jewish Arts and Food Festival, which will take place through tonight. Tonight's festival activities will include music, crafts, shopping, food, films, dancing and storytelling.
