With some $10 billion in loose change rattling around America's homes and cars, the United Way of Utah wants Utahns to take advantage of their share and possibly add to it.
Utahns who gather their loose change and use it to open a savings account at participating banks and credits unions between Monday and Friday will be eligible to win a $1,000, $750 or $500 savings bond.
The program is part of United Way's "Utah Saves" initiative, which strives to help Utahns build wealth, reduce debt and create financial security through saving.
Participating financial institutions for the "Save Your Change Week!" event are: Zions Bank, U.S. Bank, Bank of American Fork, Key Bank, America First Credit Union, Mountain America Credit Union and the University of Utah Credit Union.
