OREM MTV correspondent to Iraq Gideon Yago will speak at UVSC Wednesday at 12 p.m. in the Ragan Theater of the Sorensen Student Center.
Yago's presentation will include his experiences covering the war in Iraq. He has traveled to Kuwait City to film "Diary of Gideon in Kuwait." He was in the Middle East in fall 2003 to report on how life has changed for young Iraqis and American soldiers still stationed there in "Diary of Gideon in Baghdad."
Yago is the face of current events to millions of young adults. He writes and delivers MTV's daily "10-to-the-hour" news segments along with other developing documentaries.
To a generation that is extremely savvy about media biases and influences, Yago explains complex issues in an unbiased, informative format. He presents a hip view of politics and other newsworthy events around the world.
