Veterans Day events

West Jordan city will be having its annual Veterans Day Ceremony Saturday beginning with a parade at 11 a.m. The parade starts at 8000 S. Redwood Road, travels north and turns west onto 7800 South, turns south at 1985 West and ends at Veterans Memorial Park, 1985 W. 7800 South. The grand marshal for the parade is Allen Dale June, one of the original 29 World War II Navajo Code Talkers. The celebration concludes with the Veterans Ceremony and Healing Field which begins at about 12:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park. For any questions, contact the West Jordan City offices at 569-5000.
