Time for Lend-a-Hand program

Rocky Mountain Power customers will see an addition to this month's bill: a donation envelope for the utility's Lend-a-Hand program.

Along with the American Red Cross, the power company has launched its annual statewide assistance partnership to help elderly and disabled low-income Utahns heat their homes during the cold winter months.

Last year, more than 1,700 households benefited from the program, and power customers contributed some $280,000, according to the utility.

Donations to the Lend-a-Hand program can be made using the donation envelopes included in November's electricity bills, or online at www. utahredcross.org through the "Donate Now" link.
