Kimball Art Center (638 Park Ave., Park City, 435-649-8882) — Main gallery: "Best in Show: Works by David Gilhooly, William Wegman and Karen Willenbrink-Johnsen," through Jan. 12, 2007. Garage gallery: "Mary Iverson: Containers and Cranes" through Nov. 27. Badami gallery: "Annie Kennedy: Preserve Emblems" through Nov. 29.

Lamplight Art Gallery (170 S. Main, Bountiful, 298-0290) — Pastels by Thomas F. Rogers.

Museum of Art (Brigham Young University, North Campus Drive, Provo, 378-2787) — "Candida Hofer: Architecture of Absence," featuring the photography of public and institutional spaces by Candida Hofer. Also showing, "Types & Typologies: German Photographers From the Norton Museum of Art." Both exhibits run through Jan. 6, 2007. Also "The Intimate Eye: Drawings by Burton Silverman," featuring 33 life drawings spanning Silverman's career, through Nov. 25. Also "American Dreams," featuring 115 pieces of art from the museum's permanent collection, including prints, sculpture, photography and painting.

Museum of the San Rafael (64 N. 100 East, Castle Dale, 435-381-5252) — "Prehistoric Wildlife and Western Art of Utah," featuring paintings by Joseph S. Venus, Clifford Oviatt and sculptures by Gary Prazen and Eldon Holmes, through 2006.

Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art (650 N. 1100 East, Logan, 435-797-0163) — "Coming of Age: 21 Years of Ceramics at Utah State University," featuring pieces by 63 USU alumni, through Dec. 9. "Deadly Sins/Measured Virtues," featuring artwork by USU alumni Alice Leora Briggs, through Dec. 9. Also "Sight and Sound: A Visual Metaphor," featuring a selection of paintings and sculpture from the museum's permanent collection. Included in the exhibit is music from 20th century composers. The exhibit runs through July 2007.

Redstone Gallery (1678 W. Redstone Center Drive, Park City, 435-575-1000) — Watercolors by Nathan B. Winters and daughter Jana Winters Parkin through November.

Repartee Gallery (4801 N. University, Riverwoods, Provo) — Highlighting work by James C. Christensen, Kurt Knudsen, Barbara Lyman, Jack Morford, Greg Olsen and more. Also, original works in oil and watercolor, sculpture, pottery, stained glass and more.

Royden Card Fine Art (847-C, Coyote Gulch, Kayenta, 435-656-5051) — Paintings, woodcuts and etchings by Card, with work by guest artists.

Sears Art Gallery (Eccles Fine Arts Center, Dixie State College) — "The Masters' Brush," featuring art by Greg Olsen, Ben Sowards, Del Parson, Glen Edwards, Michael Malm, Barbara Edwards, Julie Rogers and more, through Nov. 17.
