In the Salt Lake district attorney's race, we all need to decide who is the best candidate to serve the county's needs. I have read about Lohra Miller's prosecutorial missteps over the past few weeks, where she made mistakes that most other lawyers would not have. It worries me as a citizen that she would not be an effective prosecutor for the county.
Her opponent, Sim Gill has a demonstrated record of prosecuting high-level crimes and felonies and has experience in managing such a large office. I know that if one of my family members was the victim of a crime, I would want the most experienced prosecutor with a proven track record to try the case. You can't play politics with people's safety, and that is why Sim Gill is going to get my vote.
