The Utah Department of Transportation is planning to sell 279 decals on Nov. 1 for solo drivers to use the car-pool lane. The decals are $50 a month.
Since September, when it first began allowing solo drivers to use the car-pool lane, UDOT has sold 1,071 decals, Ken Connaughton, UDOT communications director, said Wednesday during a presentation to the Board of Trustees of the Utah Transit Authority.
"The program seems to be working exceptionally well," he said.
