Five Utah companies have been named to the Software 500, a revenue-based ranking of the world's largest software and service organizations.
Utah companies are Altiris Inc., Lindon, at No. 150; LANDesk Software, South Jordan, 206; Omniture, Orem, 264; SCO Group Inc., Lindon, 280; and TenFold Corp., South Jordan, 428.
In its 24th year, the Software 500 list is based on total worldwide software and service revenue for 2005 or the closest fiscal year ending in 2005. This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting. The list includes private and public companies and was open to companies that submitted financial and product information via the annual Software 500 survey.
