Ten Jordan District educators and support personnel have received $2,500 and Five Star Awards, the district's program recognizing exceptional contributions to the district, schools or departments. They will be honored at a Nov. 3 banquet, the district announced.
The winners are:
Timothy Strebel, South Jordan Elementary; Naomi Damron, Quail Hollow Elementary; Eva Belliston, Crescent View Middle; Kim Searle, Copper Hills High; Eunice Chen, occupational therapist, Jordan Resource Center; Jim Belmont, graphics technician for Printing Services; Joyce Guenon, Native American Outreach for Alternative Language Services; Michelle Nelson, administrative secretary for Auxiliary Services; Shane Smith, Brookwood Elementary head custodian; Sharon Okumura, Canyon View Elementary principal.
Also, Midvale Middle School and the Jordan Applied Technology Center's West Jordan Campus were honored for outstanding public relations.
