SNOWBIRD APPRECIATION DAY

Customer Appreciation Days will be held this Saturday and Sunday at Snowbird. The resort will offer free tram rides to those making a donation to the Utah Food Bank.

One can of food equals one free tram ride. In lieu of food, a $2 donation may be made for a tram ride. All food donations benefit the Utah Food Bank, and monetary donations benefit the Wasatch Adaptive Sports program.

The tram will be open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bring food to the front entrance of the Snowbird Center, accessed by Snowbird Entry 2. Cash donations will be accepted at the Snowbird Center ticket office.

WILD RIVER SHOW

Roy Webb, multimedia archivist in the U.'s Marriott Library's special collections department, will present "Wilderness River Trail: The Echo Park Dam Controversy" on Sunday.

Webb will show the film "Wilderness River Trail" created by Charles Eggert in 1952. The film depicts a Sierra Club river trip down the Yampa River through Dinosaur National Park in 1952.

The film will be shown at 3 p.m. in the Little Theater, A. Ray Olpin Student Union Building on the University of Utah campus.

BUFFALO ROUNDUP BEGINS

The 20th annual Bison Range Ride and Roundup will take place next week.

The roundup will start Wednesday at 8 a.m. and run through Saturday. The public is invited to attend.

Horseback riders and helicopters will begin the roundup on the southern tip of the island and move the buffalo to the northern tip and the holding facilities.

From Nov. 3-5, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily, the bison will be weighed, blood-tested, inoculated and scanned. The public is invited to view the process.

To reach Antelope Island State Park, take I-15 to Exit 332 and travel west on Antelope Drive to the entrance station. Park fees are $9 per vehicle or $6 for bicyclists and walk-ins. For more information, call 801-773-2941.

WOMAN'S FLY-FISHING CLASS

A fly-fishing class will be offered to women through the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources' Becoming an Outdoors Woman program.
