Nominations are now being accepted for the University of Utah's 2007 Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Leadership Awards.
The awards honor outstanding students in grades 7 to 12, from across Utah, for their dedication to social action, positive change and building bridges among cultures and communities. Nominations are welcome for all students, regardless of race or national origin.
Each 2007 Youth Leadership Award winner will be honored with a plaque and monetary award at the Martin Luther King. Jr. Celebration Cultural Performance at Libby Gardner Hall on the U. campus on the Jan. 15 holiday.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, Dec. 1. The nomination form is available online at www.diversity.utah.edu/mlk2007.html.
