• Extreme Scarecrow Makeover Contest sponsored by Cedar Hills. Applicants build a scarecrow and submit it on Oct. 23. Scarecrows will be judged by the Youth City Council. Entries from neighboring cities welcome. A $5 application fee due by Oct. 20. Prizes for the following: most original, scariest, and most representative of Cedar Hills.
