Benefits and inheritance should be the decision of the individual and not the government in conjunction with insurance companies.

8. Specifically say how you would "solve" the immigration problem in the short and long term; what programs would you begin; what would you do with the current 11 million estimated illegal immigrants now in the U.S.?

1. Make employers accountable and give them Internet-based tools to verify residency. 2. Secure both borders and both coasts. 3. Streamline legal immigration and set limits based on worker demand and student vacancy. 4. No prioritization for existing illegal immigrants and no amnesty for businesses breaking the law.

9. What is the one area where you see a real difference between you and your major party opponent?

Energy policy. Sen. Hatch has served through two energy crunches and has had thirty years to address the problem of oil dependency. Instead of working towards energy alternatives, my opponent is only interested in alternate sources of oil, without regard to human, environmental or national security impacts and continues to defend oil company expansion while giving lip service to alternatives. America must STOP supporting our enemies with oil purchases.
