Senior midfielder Courtney Robbins scored all three of Utah Valley's goals in the two games, earning her United Soccer Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors.
"Definitely I think that (Robbins) has taken on some responsibility to step up and score," Wolverine coach Brent Anderson said. "Courtney can continue to score and I expect that she will continue to score, but we need to spread that around a little bit, too, to take some of that pressure off of her."
With the weekend split, the Wolverines stand at 5-8-1 for the season. UVSC now has almost two weeks off before returning to the field Oct. 20 against South Dakota State, time Anderson says he'll use to finalize which players will travel to the United Soccer Conference tournament in Washington, D.C., which begins Nov. 2.
"One thing we're trying to do is solidify the roster that we can take with us back to (Washington) D.C.," Anderson said. "We're going to be looking very hard over the next couple of weeks who those players can be. We're taking 18 players with us, so we're trying to make sure we're taking the best 18."
After the home date with the Jackrabbits, the Wolverines finish the regular season with away games at Southern Utah (Oct. 21) and No. 21 Loyola Marymount (Oct. 26).
