LOGAN — A judge has decided there is enough evidence to require former Utah State University quarterback to stand trial on aggravated sexual assault charges.

Jerod Dwayne Walker, 19, was charged with first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault in connection with an April 9 incident involving a USU female sophomore.

The woman told police Walker raped her after she went to his apartment.

Walker's trial is set to begin Feb. 14.

Walker also faces a separate charge of possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from claims by prosecutors that Walker admitted smoking marijuana on campus in April.

Walker was suspended from the football team after the first arrest and was kicked off it after the second.
