South Davis Community Hospital — Needs volunteers for a variety of opportunities within the hospital.

Ouelessebougou-Utah Alliance — Volunteers are needed to be cashiers during sports events to help sell board games to benefit Ouelessebougou.

Adopt-A-Native Elder Program — Volunteers are needed Tuesday and Friday mornings to help prepare for fall activities.

Salt Lake County Clerk — Poll volunteers are needed to help all day on Election Day, Nov. 7.

Friends for Sight — Volunteers are needed to follow up preschool vision screenings. Volunteers will call parents to make sure preschoolers get eye exams. Only takes two to three hours per week. Volunteers will log referrals for records.

Utah Food Bank Services — Volunteers are needed to rake leaves for seniors and people with disabilities beginning Nov. 4. They are also needed to help shut down swamp coolers.

Utah Museum of Fine Art — Utah Museum of Fine Art is looking for volunteer docents. A variety of shifts are available; training is provided.

The Utah Humanities Council — The Utah Humanities is seeking volunteers for two-hour shifts at the Great Salt Lake Book Festival on Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Salt Lake City Main Library. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 9p.m., and all shifts are available.

Salt Lake Visitor Information Bureau — Volunteers are needed to assist in running the National Tourism Association Conference beginning Nov. 2.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance — Volunteer a minimum of 3 hours a week from January through April 15, 2007. Help low-income families keep more of what they earn and bring millions of dollars into our economy. Training provided.
