The Utah Entrepreneur Challenge will hold its kick-off event at 6 p.m. Oct. 12 at 410 Campus Center Drive in Salt Lake City.
The event, sponsored by the Utah Entrepreneur Center and the David Eccles School of Business, marks the start of a student-run business competition for a $40,000 grant and in-kind services toward their businesses.
Runners-up will win $5,000 plus in-kind services, and all finalists will receive $1,000. Student teams have seven months to develop a business plan, to be submitted by the end of January 2007.
Students interested in participating should attend the Oct. 12 event.
