Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum: One Key Plaza, 751 Erieside Ave., Cleveland, Ohio

HOW TO GET THERE: Drive toward downtown Cleveland on I-77, I-71 or I-90. Take the East 9th Street exit and head north until you reach the Hall of Fame and Museum. (If you drive into Lake Erie, you've gone too far.)

• If you choose public transit, take a bus or the Rapid Line downtown to Public Square. Transfer to the Waterfront Rapid Line for a short ride to the North Coast Harbor station. From there, it's a short walk to the museum. Public transportation information, 216-621-9500.

• Some of Cleveland's hotels offer special Hall of Fame packages — Embassy Suites, Renaissance Cleveland Downtown and Holiday Inn Select Downtown, to name a few — that include a free shuttle bus. (Check rockhall.com for a complete list.)

HOURS: 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. daily; and until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays. It's closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

ADMISSION: $20 for adults, $14 for seniors, $11 for children ages 9-12, and children 8 and under are free. Two-day passes (good for consecutive days only) are also available at $30 for adults, $21 for seniors and $20 for children. A $50 membership includes free admission all year; there are also discounts for college students, military and large groups.

GOOD TO KNOW: Give yourself at least four to five hours. Your admission wristband allows re-entry during that day, should you decide to leave for lunch, shopping, etc.

No photography is allowed inside the exhibit areas; you'll have to leave your camera in the coat room.
