HOW TO GET THERE: Drive toward downtown Cleveland on I-77, I-71 or I-90. Take the East 9th Street exit and head north until you reach the Hall of Fame and Museum. (If you drive into Lake Erie, you've gone too far.)
If you choose public transit, take a bus or the Rapid Line downtown to Public Square. Transfer to the Waterfront Rapid Line for a short ride to the North Coast Harbor station. From there, it's a short walk to the museum. Public transportation information, 216-621-9500.
Some of Cleveland's hotels offer special Hall of Fame packages Embassy Suites, Renaissance Cleveland Downtown and Holiday Inn Select Downtown, to name a few that include a free shuttle bus. (Check rockhall.com for a complete list.)
HOURS: 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. daily; and until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays. It's closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
ADMISSION: $20 for adults, $14 for seniors, $11 for children ages 9-12, and children 8 and under are free. Two-day passes (good for consecutive days only) are also available at $30 for adults, $21 for seniors and $20 for children. A $50 membership includes free admission all year; there are also discounts for college students, military and large groups.
GOOD TO KNOW: Give yourself at least four to five hours. Your admission wristband allows re-entry during that day, should you decide to leave for lunch, shopping, etc.
No photography is allowed inside the exhibit areas; you'll have to leave your camera in the coat room.
