PROVO A preliminary hearing for the man accused of killing Kiplyn Davis is scheduled for December.
The weeklong hearing was supposed to start Friday but was delayed because Timmy Brent Olsen's federal perjury case must be adjudicated before he can stand trial in 4th District Court on the murder charge.
Olsen, 29, is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 21 for lying to investigators about his involvement in Davis' death more than 11 years ago in Spanish Fork. He was convicted in July on 15 counts of perjury.
Judge Lynn Davis set the next court proceedings for Dec. 5-8.
Defense attorney Dana Facemyer said Olsen wanted the case handled as quickly as possible.
Prosecutors allege Olsen killed 15-year-old Davis and disposed of her body, although multiple searches haven't yet returned her body.
