Off-road fans to pitch in on land cleanup

The following projects will take place on Saturday:
- American Fork Canyon: Members of 10 local clubs, representatives of Tread Lightly, and several U4WDA sponsors will be working on a project with the Pleasant Grove Ranger District of the Uinta National Forest. The project will involve a canyonwide cleanup, fence construction and a public-relations initiative to inform canyon users about Tread Lightly and minimizing impact. - Five Mile Pass: RockyMountainExtreme.com will be hosting a cleanup project at the Five Mile Pass Recreation Area with the Salt Lake BLM Field Office.
- Logan: Wasatch Outlaw Wheelers will be working with the Logan Ranger District of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest to remove unneeded fencing and do a forestwide cleanup. Contact Larry Olsen at 801-791-8446.Story continues below
- Delta: Notch Peak Desert Dogs will be working with local BLM officials at Amasa Basin on a cleanup and sign-repair project. Contact Les Keet at 435-864-4910.
- Richfield: Unlimited 4x4 Club will be working with Manti-La Sal National Forest on a cleanup at Gooseberry Reservoir. Contact Nate Curtis at 435-893-8655.
- Price: Castle Country King Crawlers 4x4 will be installing signs on some area trails, in cooperation with the Price BLM Field Office. Contact Scott Edwards at 435-613-0204.
- Cedar City: A group from Utah 4x4 Club will be working with the Cedar City BLM Field Office on a cleanup at Three Peaks Recreation Area.
- Kanab: Canyon Country 4x4 Club will be doing a cleanup and trail-repair project in Hog Canyon, in cooperation with the Kanab BLM Field Office. Contact Dave DeVooght at dave@xpressweb.com.
- St. George: Members of Utah 4x4 Club will be working with land managers from the St. George BLM Field office on a River Road cleanup.
- Moab: Moab Friends-For-Wheeling will be working on the Kane Creek Canyon trail doing some trail marking and building some fencing to close illegal routes. Contact Jeff Stevens at 435-259-6119. Red Rock 4-Wheelers will be working on the Poison Spider Mesa trail with the local BLM Field Office.
