Author and environmental activist Terry Tempest Williams will speak about peace on Sunday as part of the annual Gandhi Birthday celebration.
The party is free and open to the public, and begins at 4 p.m. at Jordan Park, 1060 S. 900 West, Salt Lake City.
Williams will receive an award from the Gandhi Peace alliance, as will Gail Johnson, a Utahn who has worked for peace through Church Women United, Crossroads Urban Center, Utah Issues and more.
