A dead end for Rocky

Now that we received the official notice that Rocky Anderson is going to spare us another term, I think it would be appropriate to recap the legacy he is leaving:

• Single-handedly demolished the community spirit developed during the 2002 Winter Olympics by siding with the ACLU on the Main Street Plaza development;

• Attempted to turn away major conventiongoers by his antics against President Bush;

• Assisted in transforming downtown into a ghost town on his watch;

• Opened up more parking on 300 South and instituted "orange flags" for cross walks;

• Created a revolving door for his staff and other city department heads;

• Turned off Davis and Weber counties with his position on the Legacy Highway;

• Represented the "great nation" of Salt Lake City at all environmental confabs.

Great job, Mayor! Maybe we can find a "dead end" street we can re-name Rocky Anderson Boulevard.
