UVSC's Center for the Study of Ethics will host Jeff Paterson, a former Marine corporal and the first publicly known, active-duty military resistant in the Gulf War. Paterson will speak about his experiences in the armed forces and military life in a speech titled, "The Ethics of Passivism" at 1 p.m. at Centre Stage in the Sorensen Student Center on the UVSC campus.
"Shane," the 1953 Western classic directed by George Stevens, will open the new season of the Brigham Young University Motion Picture Archives Film Series, at 7 p.m. in the Harold B. Lee Library auditorium. Seating is limited. No food or drink is permitted in the auditorium, and children 8 and up are welcome. Free.
