Hanson Pipe & Precast buys Sorden's Cast-Crete

Hanson Pipe & Precast announced that it has purchased all of the assets of Sorden's Cast-Crete Inc., a manufacturer of manholes, septic tanks and custom boxes based in Washington, Washington County.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In a statement released Thursday, Hanson said that substantially all of Sorden's 56 employees will keep their jobs. Further details were not disclosed.

Hanson, based in Irving, Texas, is North America's largest manufacturer of concrete pipe and precast concrete products, including residential and commercial building components, bridges, manholes and retaining walls.
