The numbers: Consistent and steady are the best words to describe Fredrickson's golf game. With a solid putting stroke and smooth swing, the calm Red Devil was the season medalist in Region 7 last season. He's on track for a repeat this year. In five matches he's been medalist three times and finished second by one stroke the other two times. He currently has a 13-shot lead in the medalist race. He was medalist at Gladstan with a 1-over par 73, medalist at Hobble Creek with a 1-under par 70, and medalist again last week at TalonsCove with a season-best 3-under par 69.

Auna Janis

Mountain View Bruins

Class: Junior

Sport: Soccer

Position: Forward

The numbers: The Bruins, despite a slow start in preseason, are fighting for a playoff spot due largely to the play of Janis. She missed Mountain View's early games with an injury, but since coming back she's scored a combined five goals in the Bruins' three league wins. She had the game-winning goal in a victory over Spanish Fork. She followed that up with two goals in the Bruins' upset over Timpanogos. In her team's easy win over the Pleasant Grove Vikings, she added another two-goal game. Overall, she's scored at least one goal in Mountain View's past six games.
