Chambers & Partners has announced its Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers rankings, with several Utah firms earning the top level.
The rankings were devised after in-depth interviews with clients and attorneys. More than 10,000 interviews were conducted in the U.S. Law firms and individual attorneys were ranked in bands on a scale of 1 to 6, with 1 being the best. Utah firms in the 1 band in the various categories were:• Real estate — Parr Waddoups Brown Gee & Loveless and Stoel Rives LLP.
• Litigation (general commercial) — Burbidge & Mitchell; Hole Roberts & Owen LLP; Howrey LLP; Parsons Behle & Latimer PC; Ray, Quinney & Nebeker PC; and Snell & Wilmer LLP.
• Employment (mainly defendant) — Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough PC and Ray, Quinney & Nebeker PC.
• Corporate/mergers and acquisitions — Stoel Rives LLP and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.

A better hiring outlook and lower gas prices pushed a measure of U.S. consumer confidence to its highest level in four and a half years.
