MERLIN OLSEN. Defensive tackle, 6-5, 270. All-America. Outland Trophy winner, Phi Betta Kappa at Utah State. Rams' No. 1 draft pick. Big, fast, agile, smart. Stabilizing leader of famed Fearsome Foursome defensive line. A coach's player: punctual, steady, gifted, a player you could always count on. He played every game for 15 years. He never played in a Super Bowl, but had as much to do as any other individual with glamorizing defensive football in the NFL. Named to a record 14 straight Pro Bowls. Rookie of the Year, 1962. Picked on Rams' all-time team.

STEVE YOUNG. Quarterback, 6-2, 205. Tampa Bay Buccaneers first-round pick of 1984 supplemental draft. Traded to San Francisco 49ers in 1987; played with them until 1999. Tied with legendary Sammy Baugh as the only QBs to win six NFL passing titles. Set then-record of 112.8 passer rating. Threw six TDs and named MVP, Super Bowl XXIX. Career statistics include 33,124 yards and 232 TDs. NFL MVP twice; seven Pro Bowls.

LARRY WILSON. Free safety, 6-0, 190. Two-way star at Utah. No. 7 draft pick, 1960. Catlike defender, exceptional team leader. Became NFL's top free safety; made "safety blitz" famous. All-NFL six times. Played in eight Pro Bowl games. Had steals in seven straight games; led NFL in interceptions, 1966. Once intercepted a pass with both hands in casts. Had 52 career interceptions.
