At build-out, the office park is expected to be the site of 3,000 high-paying corporate jobs.
"Every one of those people will be going out to lunch, will be buying gasoline and will be patronizing a lot of other commercial services," Baird said. "In addition, a lot them will hopefully choose to reside within Draper, which will also buoy our residential home values."
In addition to office space, The Pointe will include 24,000 square feet of retail space and nearly 2,700 parking stalls. A future TRAX stop is planned for the west side of the park.
"We are very optimistic that we will see some high-quality development in the wake of what Sorenson chooses to do," Baird said. "When we can show that there are high-paying executive jobs to the tune of 3,000 of them, that helps mitigate a lot of the investment risk of other commercial interests that are considering moving to Draper. This is a critical component to the Draper economy moving forward."
