Women's health event in Provo on Saturday

PROVO — Women are invited to enjoy a relaxing morning of health information and pampering Saturday at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, 1034 N. 500 West, Provo.

The fifth annual Utah Valley Women's Health Conference will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The conference will feature speakers on a variety of health and wellness topics, as well as continental breakfast, heart-healthy luncheon, health screenings, health information, a gift bag and door prizes.

Ann Cannon, author of fiction for children and young adults and a Deseret Morning News columnist, will open the conference by addressing the conference theme, "Composing Your Life."

The afternoon keynote, "10-20 Extra Years of Life: The Choice is Yours," will be given by Steven G. Aldana, a national authority on healthy living and author of "The Culprit and the Cure."

This conference is presented by Utah Valley Women's Clinic and Intermountain Healthcare's Women's Advisory Council for Utah County.

The Women's Advisory Council, composed of Utah County women concerned about women's health, developed the conference in 2001 to address women's health issues and to promote the health and well-being of women in the community.
