The declaration of University of Utah President Michael K. Young to retain the school's no-guns policy in the face of the recent Utah Supreme Court ruling that the U.'s policy banning guns violated state law is disgraceful. President Young is an attorney and public official and should understand that he and the university he represents are not above the law. The Legislature should remind the U. that it is the lawmaking body in Utah. A reduction in the U.'s budget would be a good way to start.
