I was appalled that the Deseret Morning News would even publish George E. Rice's hateful letter calling the gay lifestyle "degrading." Clearly the image of a gay lifestyle Rice harbors in his imagination has absolutely no connection to the gay lifestyle we gays actually lead. We are doctors, teachers and policemen who mow our lawns, help our neighbors and volunteer to serve the poor. In short, we are like everybody else.
The News recently published an article about Jeffrey Nielsen in which he stated he had never met any gay people before he wrote his editorial on gay marriage, since that time Nielsen said, "I've met hundreds. I've been completely blown away by their decency."
Rice needs to meet the people he's talking about. He will find gays have no relation to the evil delusion that exists in his twisted imagination. Rice's delusion is no different than those misguided people who believe Mormons have horns. Get real.
