Salt Lake County CAT — Help children learn and improve essential literacy skills. Tutor children (ages 5-12) Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake — Volunteers needed for ticket sales at Rocky Point Haunted House, through Oct. 31. A portion of the proceeds goes directly to the programs and services provided at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake.

Utah Gardens — Looking for teen volunteers, 14-18 years old, to help grow and maintain a one-acre garden. One to five hours a week.

Operation English — Volunteers needed to teach English classes weekly. Bilingual or teaching experience useful. Training provided.

People helping people — Business women needed to mentor women in a Successful Employment Program.

South Davis Community Hospital — Needs volunteers for a variety for opportunities within the hospital.

Ouelessebougou-Utah Alliance — Volunteers needed to be cashiers during sports events selling board games to benefit Ouelessebougou.
