Bangerter steps down as UCAT chairman
Bangerter, who has served as chairman since establishment of the college in 2001, indicated in a letter to the trustees that "the time has come to step aside and allow others the opportunity to serve."
Bangerter helped establish UCAT as Utah's 10th public institution of higher education among the colleges and universities governed by the Utah State Board of Regents.
Douglas Holmes, Board of Trustees vice chairman, will assume board leadership until a new chairman is elected by the trustees in November.
UCAT consists of nine campuses statewide and serves 50,000 students annually. Its specific mission is to train its students for the work force.
