The Utah Museum of Natural History will open its doors to the entire museum during its annual event, "What's In the Basement?" Saturday, Sept. 16, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The public will be able to see nearly all of the museum's collections of 1.2 million objects, many of which are kept in storage due to lack of exhibit space. Experts and other museum staff members will be on hand to describe the collections and answer questions. Visitors can also see the museum's current exhibits "In Focus: National Geographic Greatest Portraits" and "Range Creek: An Anthropology of Place."

Admission is $6 for adults, $3.50 for seniors and children ages 3-12, and free for children under 3. The museum is located at the University of Utah at 1390 E. Presidents Circle (200 South), Salt Lake City.
