A Latino leader with Utah roots has founded the Latino Leaders Network, a nonprofit organization with a mission of promoting social and economic advancement of the nation's Latino community.
Salt Lake native Mickey Ibarra is Network founder and chairman, and is president of Mickey Ibarra & Associates, a public-affairs and government-relations firm based in Washington, D.C.
Ibarra announced the Network at a Latino Leaders Luncheon Series earlier this week, saying it is meant to "help develop ongoing opportunities for Latino leaders to network, forge new relationships and dialogue on issues important to the Hispanic community."
The Network will focus on developing opportunities for current and prospective Latino leaders to discuss issues of concern. It will also support the next Latino Leaders Luncheon, scheduled Nov. 15 in Washington, and featuring actress Eva Longoria.
