TAYLORSVILLE A burglary in Taylorsville was thwarted by a resident with a baseball bat early Saturday, police said.
The burglary attempt at 4305 S. Redwood Road occurred just after 4 a.m. and was apparently the second attempt at the same address, police said.
The victim told police he grabbed a bat and beat a man who had just broken a window and climbed into his residence. When the intruder escaped through the window, the victim followed him, intending to keep him at bay until police arrived.
The man managed to flee with two other men in a white SUV.
Police stopped a car matching the description, and two West Jordan men were arrested on aggravated burglary charges, police said. Charges were pending against a third man, who was being treated for his injuries.
All three are admitted gang members from California, police said.
