VOLLEYBALL: The No. 16 BYU women's volleyball team returned to its winning ways Friday afternoon with a sweep of Arkansas, 30-26, 30-27, 30-25, to move to 7-1 on the season. The win marked the Cougars' sixth sweep in eight matches this year.

SOCCER: The Utah Valley State soccer team plays its home opener today at 3 p.m. against Division II Dixie State. This is Dixie's first year as a NCAA Division II program. The Wolverines are 2-3 and coming off a 3-0 loss to Boise State on Wednesday.
GOLF: UVSC's men's golf team opens the 2006 season this weekend by playing in Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational today and Sunday. Head coach Tommy Johnson will take seniors Nic van Vuuren and Chris Cole, junior Jeff Gibson and Dustin Robinson and sophomore Andrew Smith to the invite.
