Wasps cruise to easy win
The Wasps dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball from the opening kick. The offensive line paved the way for five rushing touchdowns, while the D-line was in the Eagles backfield all night, recording five sacks.
On American Leadership's opening drive Juab's defense set the tone forcing a three-and-out. That's when Juab's offensive line took over.
The Wasps started the possession on their own 44-yard line and quickly marched up the field, rushing five times for 65 yards, scoring on a 14-yard scamper by McKenley Park. On the ensuing possession, the Wasps stifled the Eagles yet again, forcing a punt and recording two of their sacks.
The Wasps raced out to a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter on a 14-yard pass from Jordan Jones to Landon Nielsen. Jones finished the game 11-of-16 for 212 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Nielsen caught five balls for 138 yards and two touchdowns, while recording an interception on defense.
Jensen completed four passes on the drive for 52 yards, including a five-yard touchdown pass to Connor Payton.
The Wasps rebounded quickly, running the two-minute drill to perfection. They took over on their own 14 yard line, and scored in just under two minutes on a 10-yard run by Park. Jones was 4-for-4 on the drive for 70 yards. After Juab scored three more touchdowns to take a 40-7 lead, the Eagles added their final score of the game on an 18-yard pass from Jensen to Payton.
The icing on the cake for Juab came on its last score, when Kade Brough, who normally plays on the offensive line, ran it in from 11-yards out to complete the scoring.
