From 'Elektra' to 'Penzance'
Dramas, musicals, comedies on stage this week in Utah

The free performance starts at 3 p.m.
"ROBIN HOOD, THE LEGENDARY COMEDY," written by Bob Bedore and Eric Jensen (and directed by Bedore), is being staged from Thursday through Sept. 23 by West Jordan Theater Arts in the Sugar Factory Playhouse, 8200 S. 2200 West, West Jordan.
The cast includes Andrew Jensen in the title role, Bryan Brady as Little John, Natalie Easter as Maid Marian, Mike Dodge as Friar Tuck and Bedore as the evil Sheriff of Nottingham.
Performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays-Fridays and 2 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens and children (available at the door or in advance from Macey's, 7800 S. 3200 West or by calling 294-1241).
"THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE," Gilbert & Sullivan's classic operetta, is being presented by the Draper Arts Council Friday through Sept. 23 in the Juan Diego High School auditorium, 300 E. 11800 South, Draper.
