PROVO High school students interested in health-care careers are invited to join the Medical Explorers Post at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
The post meets twice a month to participate in interactive experiences with health-care specialists at the hospital. An orientation is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Wednesday in the Northwest Plaza Clark Auditorium at UVRMC, 1134 N. 500 West, Provo. Parents are encouraged to attend with the students.
"It has been gratifying to see young people explore career options in this setting," said Kelly Dick, UVRMC audiologist. "I know a number of past Medical Explorers who are working in health care today as a result of their experience with the post."
Cost to join the post is $41.25, which includes a set of hospital scrubs. The cost for returning explorers who have a set of scrubs is $20.
For more information, contact UVRMC's communications department at 357-4208.
