The Museum of Church History and Art, 45 N. West Temple, has announced the Visitor Choice Awards in its Seventh International Art Competition: Our Heritage of Faith. Receiving the $500 cash awards are Benjamin McPherson for his oil "And It Was Night ... ," Susan Comish for her oil "Sabbath Morning" and Justin Kunz for his oil "Always Remember Me." The exhibit ends tomorrow.

The Salt Lake Art Center, 20 S. West Temple, will host an Art Talk by fabric artist Judy Singer on Wednesday evening at 7.

The Utah Arts Council's $10,000 Visual Arts Fellowship deadline is Friday, Sept. 29. Guidelines and entry forms are available at the UAC office, 617 E. South Temple, or online at www.arts.utah.gov. For more information call Lila Abersold at 533-3581.

The Salt Lake City Arts Council announces a call for Utah artists interested in submitting proposals for a public art commission at Steenblik Park in the Rose Park neighborhood of Salt Lake. The artist's budget for this commission is $40,000, and proposal materials are now being accepted.
