A Salt Lake man killed when he was ejected from a vehicle on I-80 Wednesday was identified as 24-year-old Eduardo Garcia Garcia.
Garcia was thrown from the SUV he was riding in when the driver, also from Salt Lake City but not related to Garcia, fell asleep and overcorrected on I-80 near Saltair just after 6 p.m. Utah Highway Patrol trooper Jeff Nigbur said the vehicle rolled several times, ejecting Garcia and partially ejecting the driver.
The driver remains in critical condition at the University of Utah Medical Center. Drugs and alcohol were not determined to have been a factor in the accident.
