Itty Bitty Salt Lake City

It's time to think small again, as we launch our 14th annual Itty Bitty Salt Lake City contest.

Your job is to find and identify the larger versions of the itty-bitty items pictured here. We could have made a whole contest out of "for lease" and "closed" signs, but we have scoured downtown to find other clues: fragments of statues, building facades, logos and other landmarks.

The prizes

GRAND PRIZE is a $2,000 six-month CD at Zions Bank

Second prize is a night for two at the Peery Hotel, 110 W. 300 South, and a $50 gift certificate to Christopher's Seafood and Steakhouse.

Third prize is two tickets to the Utah Symphony for the Jan. 13, 2007, performance and a $25 Gastronomy dining certificate.

Fourth prize is a $50 Fanzz gift certificate.

Fifth prize is a $45 Gold Mega Pass (dinner and movie at a Megaplex theater).

Sixth prize is a Gateway mall package ($10 gift certificate to Sbarro Italian Eatery, one-pound box of assorted chocolates from Cummings Studio Chocolates and an Ultimate Value Coupon Book).

The rules

View clues

1. Match the Itty Bitty clues with the real thing. All items can be found in the 20-block downtown area bordered by South Temple and 400 South, 200 West and 300 East, including both sides of all boundary streets, as well as midblock walkways. Everything pictured here can be seen from the outside, but not necessarily from the road, so you will need to get out of your car. And remember that just because you don't see something as you walk one direction doesn't mean you won't see it if you walk the other direction.

2. We hope, by the time you try to find the items pictured here, that they have not been removed, erased, bulldozed or painted over, as has occasionally happened in past years. We have tried to accurately reproduce the colors of the actual items, but the printing process, as well as the time of day the pictures were taken (compared to when you view them), might result in clues that aren't 100 percent accurate. We apologize in advance for any frustration and blisters this may cause.

3. Identify the exact location of each clue — street address, name of the building or park, etc.

4. Include your name, address, daytime phone number and/or e-mail address.
